The State service on regulatory policy and development of entrepreneurship has finished calculations on referent prices for medicine, head of the department Mykhailo Brodski told a conference "Dead-end of modern financial system", ForUm correspondent reports.
"The calculations have shown that medicines in Ukraine are highly overprices," the official stated.
As an example he named medicines against high pressure, prices for which are 52% higher than in Moldova, Serbia, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Poland.
"At the same time the income per head in Ukraine is lower than those countries. Similar situation is observed in all sections of the pharmaceutical market. The President set a task to combat this," Brodski summed up.
