
259 MPs have voted in favor of changes to the Family Code of Ukraine regarding minimal marriage age.
The law has been passed in its second reading and as a whole.
The rapporteur on the bill Evgen Suslov, member of the parliamentary committee on family, youth and sport, noted that every person under 18 is considered a child.
The official also reminded that in many neighboring countries, including Russia, minimal marriage age is 18 years old.
