"Affordable housing" program must solve the housing issue in Ukraine for ten years, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at today's Cabinet's meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We need to make serious preparations in order to restart construction boom in Ukraine," he said.
According to the Premier, "Affordable housing" program must solve the housing problem of young families in Ukraine for ten years.

"The program must cover all families with average income of five thousand hryvnias. We must build 100 thousand apartments annually. At the same time it is necessary to open corresponding number of kindergartens and schools, so the parents can work and pay mortgage," Azarov said.

"I understand that after many years of mistrust people ask whether such initiative is real. I want to assure you it is totally real. We base it on the economy growth," Azarov pointed out.
