"We should now discuss the issues that are currently of the most importance for the country," Viktor Yanukovych said. He also noted that ha had vetoed about 30 bills adopted by the Parliament and thanked the MPs for their understanding in this matter.

"I have never criticized the decisions of the Parliament, because I worked there myself and know how bills are passed. Every MP has a point of view, and it must be taken into account. And it does not make much difference for me, which faction a deputy is from – the majority, or the minority," he said.

First of all, he said, the bills adopted should work for the benefit of the state and its citizens.
