New social initiatives of the president are logical and consistent course aimed at increase of social standards in Ukraine, deputy head of the President's Administration Iryna Akymova told a briefing, ForUm's correspondent reports.

According to Akymova, this course has been realized for the last two years and its effect is very impressive. "By the end of the 2010-2012 course the minimum living wage will increase by 65%, minimal wage - by 70%, minimal pensions - by 65% and official salary of the first tariff rank - by 46%. At the same time the total inflation for these three years will be only 21.6%. And it is not mysticism, such plans have already been put in the budget," the official specified.

Akymova also noted that social initiatives will be targeted. "Social payments will be increased, first of all, for vulnerable layers of the population - pensioners, the disabled and large families," the official summed up.
