President Viktor Yanukovych is sure it is important to conduct all the necessary repair works in the National Museum of Taras Shevchenko in Kyiv, he said in a speech during this year’s presentation of the Shevchenko Prize, ForUm learned from the presidential press office.
"Soon, we should actively correct the critical situation the Kyiv National Museum of Taras Shevchenko is in, as it needs urgent restoration and repair works not conducted for decades," he said.
The President stressed that one of the most important museums in the country should provide adequate conditions for proper storage and exhibition of its collection.
