According to the estimates of the Ministry of Finance, about UAH 8 billion is needed by the end of the year to implement additional social initiatives that President Viktor Yanukovych has voiced on Wednesday at the Cabinet of Ministers' meeting, UKRINFORM reported.
This was disclosed by First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Iryna Akimova.
"The amount of money for additional social initiatives, by the end of the year, is some UAH 8 billion," she said.
Akimova specified that the source of this money can only be an increase in revenues to the state budget. "Incomes may only come from one source - economic growth, the additional over-fulfillment in the state budget revenues and the legalization of wages," she said.
A reminder that President Viktor Yanukovych on Wednesday highlighted four strategic areas of social reform in Ukraine.
