In order to realize president's initiatives the state budget for 2012 must be amended, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at today's extended meeting of the Cabinet, ForUm correspondent reports.
"In the nearest future the government must carry out the task set by the president. To o so it is necessary to amend the state budget and some government regulations. The president is right. People don't need comparative figures, but economy growth and increased labour capacity, as well as reduction of shadow economy," the PM said.
In addition, Azarov criticized local authorities for bureaucracy and laziness. The premier said it is unacceptable when offices of state services receive citizens only once a week, or when they do not provide social assistance to the disadvantaged just because the latter did not ask for it.
