"We see the economy displaying positive results, that the outlined dynamics give us optimism. And we should use them in order to raise the living standards of socially vulnerable population – those who face the most difficulties today," he said.
The President stressed that the policy of modernization made it possible to optimize expenditures and begin the process of pulling the economy out of the shadows. "Thanks to that we were able not only to maintain wages and social protection, but also to increase them," said Viktor Yanukovych.
The President said that the economic achievements of Ukraine in the last two years were mostly associated "with successful foreign trade." "Exports grew by more than 30%" he said and expressed confidence that Ukraine needs to even further increase the exports of its products to global markets.
