Donetsk hotels do not raise prices for their services before the start of UEFA EURO 2012, Donetsk Mayor Oleksandr Lukianchenko told reporters on Tuesday, according to UKRINFORM.

"We have not increased prices. This problem does not exist yet," the mayor underscored.

The official noted that two years ago TUI Travel, UEFA's official tour operator, signed contracts with the hotels, in which the sides agreed on the prices for accommodation of guests of the upcoming championship.

Also, the city mayor said that only one of five major car parks for the EURO will be removed after the tournament, because on its place it is planned to erect a new building of the Regional Art Museum. Apart from this, the authorities will not dismantle communications for the future camping park, and the fan zone will serve as the venue for the city celebrations.

Lukianchenko recalled that 94 days remain till European championship opening.

A reminder that UEFA Operations Director Martin Kallen once said that an urgent challenge before EURO 2012 is accommodation of guests in Ukrainian hotels, in particular, some of them offer unreasonable high prices.

The UEFA official said some hotel owners offer very high prices, and it negatively affects the image both of the host country, and the tournament as a whole, and can certainly affect the number of guests who will visit Ukraine during EURO 2012.
