Speaker of Ukraine's parliament Volodymyr Lytvyn stands against the adoption of the draft bill on small-family tax for people over 30 without children, ForUm learned from the parliamentary press office.

"It is a mechanical approach to a complex problem, which will result in nothing," he told journalists during his working visit to Zhytomyr region.

According to Lytvyn, 30-year-old people, who do not have children, usually have reasonable excuses. "As a rule it is absence of housing or health problems," the speaker said.

Lytyvn believes that the state should be focused on rendering possible assistance to those Ukrainians, who want to have children but cannot due various reasons.

As a reminder, a number of MPs submitted a draft bill on introduction of a small-family tax for Ukrainians, who do not have children after the age of 30.
