Ministry for housing and communal services of Ukraine plans to introduce changes to the building legislation in order to unblock unfinished construction projects, the head of the Ministry Anatoly Blyznyuk told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the minister, there are many unfinished construction projects, mostly houses in Ukraine, and property developers do no have enough means to finish the construction, "despite the fact that private investors financed the construction of the housing in due time."

"The Ministry suggests considering a draft bill, which enables investors to hold possession of the property in case a developer abandons or fails to finish the construction. In this case investors will be able to manage the housing as they see fit," Blyznyuk said.
