With national authorities and partners, the World Health Organization has published a leaflet on the health steps to take before traveling to Ukraine and Poland for Euro-2012 championship and on key health information to remember when in the host countries, ForUm learned from the press office of the organization.

WHO recommends the fans to ensure before travel that all vaccinations are up to date, particularly against measles and rubella.

The organization also calls to avoid the risk of catching sexually transmitted infections and warns about criminal responsibility, provided in the host-counties for use, possession and distribution of recreational drugs.

"Use, possession and distribution of recreational drugs in Poland and Ukraine is prohibited and if caught you risk being put in prison immediately," the leaflet says.

As a reminder, the UEFA European Football Championship (EURO 2012) is taking place in Poland and Ukraine from 8 June to 1 July 2012.
