Aadditional examination of Tymoshenko was conducted at the Kachanivska penal colony in Kharkiv on the morning of February 23. She underwent an X-ray and a magnetic resonance tomography scan. Tymoshenko again refused to take a blood test, UKRINFORM reported referring to the press office of the State Penitentiary Service.
According to the State Penitentiary Service, Tymoshenko personally filed a written application to the chief of Kachanivska Penal Colony.
"The State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine states that on February 22, Yulia Tymoshenko personally filed a written application to the chief of the Kachanivska penal colony (No. 54) to conduct an additional examination of her health, which had been recommended by members of the international medical commission," reads the statement.
According to the service, Tymoshenko wrote in the application: "Please organize additional medical examinations as recommended by foreign doctors." She insisted that she undergo an X-ray, as well as tomography and magnetic resonance tomography scans.
