President Viktor Yanukovych has instructed the Government to study the state of social infrastructure in rural areas, and work out a plan of development for each region. He added that budget funding of these needs should grow every year.
"We must ensure adequate living conditions to all citizens, regardless of their place of residence, and this is one of the tasks for the near future," he said, according to the presidential press office.
Viktor Yanukovych also noted the lack of significant progress in reforming agriculture. In particular, he said, it is necessary to review the mechanisms of state support of farmers, agricultural products insurance system, technological modernization of production, etc.
