The parliament of Ukraine has adopted the law on limitation of civil capacity of persons, abusing gambling games with 340 votes in favor.
The law provides for introducing changes to Civil and Civil Procedure Codes of Ukraine, according to which courts will be able to limit civil capacity of persons, abusing of gambling.
A person, abusing gambling, will be limited in his right to manage his assets. A guardian of such person will control his expenses in order to prevent alienation for the sake of gambling.
Under the abusing of gambling the law means cases, when a person spends the major part of his salary, sells his personal property, which may cause difficult financial situation for him and or for people depending on him.
