Russia has no territorial claims to Ukraine, Russian State Duma Speaker Sergey Naryshkin said in an interview with the ICTV channel late Monday.

Commenting on territorial statements regarding Crimea, Naryshkin pointed out that "these are emotions of certain people", and officially Russia does not have any claims to Ukraine.

"I officially declare that the Russian Federation does not claim a single square meter of Ukrainian land, and I know that Ukraine has no such claims to Russia," he said.

Duma speaker added that in 1997 the sides signed the Big Treaty, which confirms strategic character of partner relationships and recognizes territorial integrity, as well as absence of any territorial claims.
