State railway to buy train cars of domestic production

In the framework of his working visit to the Poltava region, President Viktor Yanukovych visited JSC Krukivsky Carriage Works, ForUm learned from the presidential press office.

The President was shown the train cars made at the plant and talked to its staff. “The products you make here are extremely promising and the state will support the production,” Viktor Yanukovych said, adding that such enterprises in Ukraine need state support and UkrZaliznytsya’s orders for their products.

In his turn, UkrZaliznytsya Director General Volodymyr Kozak has informed President Viktor Yanukovych that UkrZaliznytsya plans to buy one thousand freight cars from JSC Krukivsky Carriage Works.

Volodymyr Kozak explained that despite their slightly higher price, the freight cars produced at the Krukivsky Carriage Works are better in terms of service life and reliability, thus allowing to save on maintenance.
