The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has established the immigration quotas for 2012 at just a little over 8.2 thousand people. The relevant order was made at Wednesday's Cabinet meeting, the press service of the government reported, according to UKRINFORM.

In 2010, immigration quotas were set at 9.2 thousand people. Thus, there was a reduction in quotas by 11%.

As reported by the press service, the purpose of adoption of this order is to regulate the limit number of foreigners and stateless persons, who may be allowed to immigrate in Ukraine by different categories and by individual regions of the state.
