This morning 24 cars crashed in a mass accident on a 2-kilometer-long road section of Boryspil highway. Traffic police registered seven separate car accidents happened at the same time.
Officials say there were no victims, but many injured. One of the injured was taken by an ambulance. "The metal" suffered the most.
Slippery road and violation of speed limits were named as the main cause of the accident. "According to the preliminary information, the road was clean from snow, but the asphalt covering was icy," spokesperson of the Kyiv traffic police department Natalia Storozhyk informed.
According to her, the department is investigating whether the road was sanded and salted in good supply.
