In 2011 Ukraine lost 60 million of government grants for housing and public utilities due to corruption schemes, head of the State financial inspection Petro Andreyev told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The State financial inspection revealed embezzlement of 60 million of government grants. The money was transferred to accounts of commercial structures," he said.
According to the official, criminal cases have been instituted on many facts of embezzlement, and relevant state officials have been detained.
Andreyev called upon the society and mass media representatives to report the facts of ungrounded increase of tariffs in regions.
