There is no "cheese war" between Ukraine and Russia, there is just import limitation, head of economic policy group of Russian embassy in Ukraine Aleksey Urin told a roundtable, ForUm correspondent reports.

The official underlined that Russia has claims to three out of 15 Ukrainian cheese importers. "Countries of the Customs Union carry out single policy, developing single system of standards. In the nearest future the new system of standards will come into force, and all suppliers of Customs Union's market will have to fully meet the requirements," Urin explained.

At the same time the official said the Customs Union countries understand arising problems of importers and are ready to reduce trade barriers for CIS neighbors. "Within CIS we are preparing an agreement on technical regulations of the Customs union. Every country can use both national and Customs Union's technical regulations, or to abandon national one," Urin summed up.
