President Viktor Yanukovych issued a Decree instructing the Government to create in a month an organizing committee to prepare for hosting the 2015 FIBA European Basketball Championship in Ukraine, ForUm learned from the presidential press office.
The organizing committee is to develop and adopt in two months an action plan of preparation in 2012-2015 for the EuroBasket 2015.
According to the Decree, the action plan should include the construction and reconstruction of sports infrastructure in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lviv, Odessa, and Kharkiv in order to bring them into compliance with the FIBA requirements.
