Ukraine has practically agreed with new suppliers of gas and oil, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said delivering a speech in a Latvian university.

"We are holding negotiations, and the agreement has practically been reached," Azarov said.
The PM underlined that if talks with Russia do not result in reduction of gas price, Ukraine will have to reduce the purchase volumes.

"If current prices for Russian gas and oil remain, we will have to reduce the volumes of purchases from our Russian partners," Azarov said and added that for today the gas for Ukraine is more expensive than for Latvia.
