Ukrainian grain traders are having difficulties with payments for supplies of grain to Iran, although the problem does not require the intervention of the state, Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk has said.

"As for the relations of grain traders with Iran, this is a matter of payments, not a state-level issue. We don't have any problems at the governmental level," he told journalists in Kyiv last week.

However, President's aid on international relations Andriy Goncharuk said the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine will control an issue of Ukrainian grain supply disruption to Iran.

"Sanctions (against Iran) currently are of a limited character. But this has a negative impact on the grain trade segment to some extent. Relevant instructions were given to the Foreign Ministry in order to minimize or to lighten the consequences. The issue is in the focus of attention," Goncharuk said.

To remind, Ukraine has sharply reduced grain export to Iran due to financial sanctions with the EU.
