Gas talks with Russia are dragging on for no good reason, President's aid on international relations Andriy Goncharuk told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports. According to him, the Ukrainian side expected them to be finished by the end of 2011.

In response to the question whether such delay can worsen the relations between Ukraine and RF, Goncharuk noted: "Our relations with Moscow will not worsen, but it can become a certain constraining factor for further development."

As a reminder, Kyiv and Moscow are holding talks on revision of gas contracts signed in 2009. Kyiv insists on reducing the gas price for Ukraine, but no agreements have been reached yet for now.
