Lifting ban from Ex.ua domain does not mean that the authorities are scared by hacker attacks, spokesman of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine Volodymyr Polishchuk told the press.

"If you think that DDoS attacks on our websites must cancel our legislation and all our international agreements, you are wrong," he said.

Polishchuk explained that temporary ban on Ex.ua domain was needed to hold investigation, and a part of the equipment has been sent for expertise. At the same time the official pointed out that using other equipment the company can continue its activity putting legal content only. 

"They can use the domain, and both you and I, and also my son will be happy to download products, which are not pirated or prohibited for mass usage," he said.

Polishchuk added that the investigation into illegal activity continues and is controlled by the acting Interior Minister.
