The shaft of the closed mine in Pavlovka village, Luhanks region is on fire with four people trapped inside. Press office of the Luhanks prosecutor's office informed that the closed mine was used for illegal coal extraction.
In the morning of February 2 the local police department received a phone call about smoke formation in the shaft, which later turned into a fire.
Emergency control department is conducting works to extinguish the fire in the ventilation shaft and has started the search of trapped miners.
