In the Black Sea near Turkey, ship Vera (Cambodia flag) sank on Tuesday with 10 Ukrainian citizens onboard and one from Georgia. The bulk carrier was sailing from Russia to Turkish port Aliaga and got into a storm not far from the shore, MFA Press Secretary Oleksandr Dykusarov informed, according to UKRINFORM.

"Currently, three Ukrainian citizens- crewmembers have been saved. They are in a hospital and in stable condition. The case is on a special control of the Ukrainian Embassy in Turkey and the Consular Service department of the Ukrainian MFA," the official informed.

According to information from the Ukrainian Embassy in Turkey, currently an operation continues to rescue other crewmembers.

"There are three Turkish coast defense ships in the operation district that are carrying out a rescue operation of lost persons. The search operation is complicated with unfavorable weather conditions," Dykusarov said.
