63% of pipes of the housing and communal services are worn-out, Minister of regional development and housing and communal services Anatoly Blyznyuk told a briefing, Forum correspondent reports. "Depreciation period of 63% of pipes of the housing and communal net has expired. They are worn-out," Blyznyik informed.
Speaking about low temperatures in Ukraine the Minister noted that communal services should not expect any easier ride under such severe weather conditions. "I am sorry, but even for the salary of 2000-2200 hryvnias communal service workers have to work 24 hours and be ready to respond to any emergency situation. I thank you for this, but I also ask you to understand the situation and to respond timely and in a proper way," the official summed up.
