As of February 1 there are 1735 heating stations working in Ukraine, and other 122 will be opened within the days, ForUm learned from the press office of the Emergency Situations Ministry.

"For the period of January 27-February 1 more than 31 500 citizens sought assistance of heating stations, including 7500 for the latest 24 hours. 854 people sought assistance of first aid and 723 out of them were hospitalized. 43 people died during the period of severe frost: 8 died in hospitals, 28 were found in the streets and 7 died at home. Preliminary cause of death - hypotermia," the report of the Ministry says.

Referring to the weather forecast center, Emergency Situations Ministry warns that frost will become stronger and temperature will get lower, down to -30°.
