Azarov ordered ministers to get rid of extra cars

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has passed a resolution "On limitation of office vehicles", which reduces twofold the limit of vehicles for central and local executive bodies, ForUm learned from the press office of the Cabinet.

In particular, the Cabinet set the limit of 10 vehicles for Finance Ministry and Interior Ministry, 12 vehicles for Defense Ministry, 15 vehicles for State Tax Service, 8 vehicles for Economy Ministry, Energy and Coal Ministry and Justice Ministry and 7 vehicles for Foreign Ministry.

According to the resolution, vehicles over the limit must be released or transferred to other budget institutions.

The resolution also forbids the executive bodies to rent vehicles over the set limit. The executive bodies have two months to arrange the number of cars in accordance with the limit.

According to the Cabinet's press office, the governmental resolution will reduce expenses of the state budget for maintenance of executive power.
