Reforms in Ukraine are closely correlated with the European integration course of our country, President Viktor Yanukovych said during a discussion with Aleksander Kwasniewski at the 8th Ukrainian Lunch "Options for the future” in Davos, presidential press office reports.
"Ukraine's integration into the EU is a practical core of reforms in Ukraine. We are reforming the state, thus bringing Ukraine closer to European standards," he said, adding that the implementation of systemic reforms take time.
Viktor Yanukovych noted that at the December EU-Ukraine Summit the completion of negotiations on the Association Agreement was announced. He also drew attention to the progress in visa-free talks between Ukraine and the EU. "We have completed 90% of the [visa-free travel] road map. I think in the second half of 2012, we will finish the work and open a new phase," summed up the President.
