Defense team of Yulia Tymoshenko has submitted a cassation appeal against the decision of Pechersk District Court of Kyiv, according to which Tymoshenko was convicted and sentenced to seven years of imprisonment.
"This morning Tymoshenko's defense submitted a cassation appeal to Higher specialized court of Ukraine on criminal and civil cases," Tymoshenko's lawyer Oleksandr Plahotnyuk told UNIAN.
As a reminder, Pechersk District Court of Kyiv convicted and sentenced Yulia Tymoshenko to seven years in prison for abuse of office. Court of Appeals upheld the sentence.
