Seventy-one towns and villages of Ukraine were left without electricity in the early hours of January 23 due to wet snow and wind gusts, ForUm learned from the press service of the Emergency Ministry.

In particular, as of Monday morning, 24 population centers were left without electricity in Odesa region, 16 in Zaporizhzhia region, nine in Kherson region, nine in Chernihiv region, six in Dnipropetrovsk region, four in Kyiv region, and three in Cherkasy region.

Blackouts happened on Monday night due to activation of the power lines security system. Regional power crews are restoring electricity supplies in the regions.
