President Viktor Yanukovych will demand the Government to pay priority attention to ensuring social and economic rights of citizens, he said in his speech at a meeting in the National Arts Place Ukraine on the occasion of Unity and Liberty Day.
"The task of the entire Ukrainian government is to make sure that in 2012, every Ukrainian felt the efficiency and effectiveness of our actions ... It is necessary to increase payments to the poor," he said.
The President stressed that this year, among those to receive additional targeted assistance would be teachers, doctors, cultural workers, pensioners, vulnerable strata of the society.
