Ivan Pravilov, a noted Ukraine youth ice hockey coach and instructor, was arrested by US authorities in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Thursday on charges he had sex with a teen boy.
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations agents arrested Pravilov, 48, on charges of interstate travel for the purpose of engaging in sexual acts with a minor, the AFP reports.
The criminal complaint against Pravilov said he committed sexual acts with a 14-year-old boy visiting the United States while they attended hockey clinics.
Pravilov, who is in federal custody pending a detention hearing, was a noted power skating instructor and coach of a Ukraine junior squad, Druzhba 78.
