According to director of GMT-Group analytic company Anatoly Lutsenko, "the practice of holding local referendums is common for countries of Western Europe."
"Ukraine has announced its Eurointegration course, hence it should use the experience of European countries. If such form of people's participation in the city life becomes productive, Ukraine may gain some points," the analyst says.
