Yulia Tymoshenko's lawyer Serhiy Vlasenko declares that his defendant has officially refused medical assistance by prison doctors.
"Yulia Tymoshenko has made a decision and officially informed in written form the authorities of the penal colony she is being kept in about her refusal from medical assistance by doctors of the penitentiary facility and Health Ministry," Vlasenko told a press conference.
"Yulia Tymoshenko trusts Ukrainian doctors. She does not trust those doctors, subordinate to the Health Ministry," he added.
The lawyer continues to insist that the authorities are covering up the real situation on Tymoshenko's health and spreading false information on her 'satisfactory' state.
