23 Ukrainians, detained by Libyan rebels in September 2011 and accused of fighting on the side of former leader Muammar Gaddafi, are losing hope to come back home, TCN reports.

Relatives of the detainees told that their dears call from time to time and report that they are being fed, but kept imprisoned on the territory of closed bases.

In its turn Ukrainian Foreign Ministry assures that negotiations are held every day, but the problem is that military groups, which are holding Ukrainians, do not report to official Tripoli, and hence the results are null.

"The most terrible is that nothing is happening. Yesterday they (detainees) were visited by a diplomat, who told them that all the work and talks on release did not result in anything," daughter of one of the detainees Daria Shadrova said in an interview.
