Yefremov also pointed out that after the norm on banning foreigners to buy Ukrainian land had been introduced the draft bill became suddenly unpopular among certain MPs.
"Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that after we had written off the rule permitting foreign citizens and companies to privatize land, it suddenly became out of favour for all," the MP noted.
According to Olexander Yefremov, "individuals in the Parliament are trying to prevent the adoption of the Law on the land market, which during last six months has been worked out by all instances, has passed consultations in all public institutions and more than any other is ready for consideration at the session hall." That's the impression of independent experts, said the MP.
"Today the land market bill will be considered at the meeting of a relevant committee, and it has every chance to be adopted in the parliament," Olexander Yefremov said adding "it would take some time to finalize the document and to agree on all points."
"It would be good to adopt the Law during the current week, as it was planned for Thursday. But it can be possible only if MPs agree to work it out together and will stop vainly criticize it," Yefremov summed up.
The law on land market was passed in its first reading on December 9, 2011.
