The draft bill on reformation of Ukraine's oil and gas complex should be considered after gas talks between Ukraine and Russia are complete, speaker of the parliament Volodymyr Lytvyn told journalists.

"The talks are still in progress, and the issue must be considered only when we have some results. First the sides must agree, and then we will found legislation. I've held consultations with the government and President's Administration. The officials agreed there is no need to hurry with adoption of this draft bill," Lytvyn said.

In his turn, head of the ruling party faction Oleksandr Yefremov told ForUm that Ukraine would not change current legislation on gas transportation system, which prohibits any forms of system's takeover, before the next round of gas talks with Russia. He added this week the Party of Regions faction would not include the draft bill on GTS into agenda.

"We have complicated negotiations on this issue. When the sides reach certain agreements, then we will submit our consolidated position and legislative documents," the MP said.
