Two guns, used to kill five people in the course of the bank robbery in Donetsk, were manufactured by a handicraftsman from Zaporizhhzya, Interior Minister Vitaly Zakharchenko told a briefing in Kyiv.
"These are homemade atypical guns, made by a specialist from Zaporizhhzya. The guns were manufactured by homemade drawing, but with proper equipment," Zakharchenko informed adding the guns use nine millimeter bullets from Makarov gun. The homemade guns have loading of 20 bullets.
According to the Minister, the specialist on guns has been arrested together with a dealer, who sold the weapon to the suspects in the bank robbery.
Zakharchenko informed that a criminal case on illegal production and sale of weapon has been instituted against both. The police are investigating whether it was a single case or one of many.
The Minister also informed that two detainees, suspected of bank robbery, had been officially charged with the crime.
