Interior Minister of Ukraine Vitaly Zakharchenko states that in the course of armed robbery of PrivatBank department in Donetsk the offenders failed to steal the money.
In an interview with journalists the Minister disclaimed information published in some press on that the bank department was robbed of 5.5 million hryvnias and that police arrested innocent citizens.
"Bank officials have made an inventory and have not revealed any lack of money. The criminals came to the bank to rob it, but failed," Zakharchenko informed.
The Minister also informed that in the course of interrogation of one of the suspects the latter informed the police officials about the course of events. "He showed the place, a pond, where he threw out the gun. And the gun was found by police in that very place."
