The Kyiv authorities invite Kyiv residents and guests of the capital to come to Khreshchyatyk Street for celebration of Christmas, ForUm learned from the press office of the Kyiv city administration.
The event starts January 7 at 14.00 in front of the Kyiv city administration on Khreshchyatyk Street. Organizer of the festival is the department on nationalities and religions under the support of the acting mayor Oleksandr Popov.
Guests of the festival can see traditional Christmas puppet-show and listen to Christmas carols and other ritual songs. The best artistic groups and singers will perform right on the stairs of the Kyiv city hall, and the performance of the Kyiv academic folk theatre "Beregynia" will become the zest of the show.
Organizers of the festival promise to create special atmosphere in the center of the city. In particular, all comers will be able to buy some Christmas souvenirs and to take part in various games and contests.
