The parliament of Ukraine will consider next week a draft bill, which gives permission to rent out the gas transportation system, deputy head of the Party of Regions faction Mykhailo Chechetov informed.
"Back in August the President decreed to start reformation of Naftogaz, reduced to poverty by the previous authorities. Reformation of Naftogaz is not only the prevention of gas price rise, but also an argument in the negotiations with IMF. We will adopt any law, which can help to solve the situation," Chechetov said.
He reminded that in two weeks Ukraine will resume gas talks with Russian Gazprom. "Our proposition is well-known - formation of gas transportation consortium. And to make this proposition our government needs a corresponding law, hence the parliament will give it this law to allow renting out the gas transportation system," Chechetov said.
