Head of the Kachanivska penal colony Ivan Pervushkin has confirmed that Yulia Tymoshenko has arrived in the colony.
"Yulia Volodymyrivna [Tymoshenko] arrived half an hour ago in accordance with the order issued by the State Penitentiary Service. She is currently in a temporary detention facility," he told reporters on Friday.
Pervushkin also said that they did not make any preparations for Tymoshenko's arrival in advance. In response to the question about her health, Tymoshenko told Pervushkin she was tired after transportation.
The head of the colony also informed that Tymoshenko was offered to undergo medical examination in the colony.
Speaking about conditions of Tymoshenko's confinement Pervushkin said that the total area of the cell is 37.5 square meters with 31 sq m of living part. The cell has separate bathroom unit with toilet, bidet, wash basin and shower stall. The cell is settled for seven people, but for the moment there are only two women in it - Tymoshenko and another detainee.
