Today, December 29 the decree of the Health Ministry on new license conditions of wholesale and retail of medicine comes into force.
Among the most significant changes are prohibition of distant sale of medicine (through Internet or by post) and prohibition of sale of medicine through any institutions but pharmacies. In case of absence of a pharmacy in rural area the retail of medicine can be carried out in local hospitals or village first-aid stations on the ground of corresponding license documents.
In addition, the new license conditions provides for prohibition of advertising of prescription drugs, which meets the law "On advertising."
