Ukraine's Ministry for economic development and trade is engaged into preparation of propositions on new set of the basket of goods, Deputy Economy Minister Vadym Kopylov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Ministry for economic development jointly with other ministries and departments has worked out new position and will submit its draft decision after New Year," Kopylov informed. In particular, he said, the Ministry may change the list of goods of the basket, which is taken into account for inflation calculations.
"First we will decide on the basket of goods and then will work on the rest," the official said. He also informed that the government is working on a draft bill, which provides for establishment of a national department on the system of standards, in order to "adapt Ukrainian legislation to the one of the European Union."
