Opposition's Deputy Verkhovna Rada Speaker Mykola Tomenko believes that international courts will have time to have their say before the official start of the election campaign and the Batkivshchyna leader Yulia Tymoshenko and former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko will participate in the parliamentary election 2012.

"We still have plenty of time. We hope that by 30 July, we will complete our action in international courts and both Tymoshenko and Lutsenko will be in a common list of Batkivshchyna-People's Self Defense, the politician said, according to UKRINFORM.

Meanwhile, Oleksandr Turchynov, the deputy chairman of the Batkivshchyna party, on Wednesday announced the beginning of a merger of the parties Batkivshchyna and People's Self Defense on the basis of Batkivshchyna. Consultations were held between the leaders of the parties, who decided to begin the unification process, he said.

The leaders of both parties, now jailed at Lukyanivsky detention center in Kyiv made an appeal to all opposition political forces to unite.
